Though the library wasn't one of Bethany's favorite places to be, she decided to go there and 'study'; as she puts it. Yes, she brought her books with ehr, and even made an effort to look as though she were working on a problem; that was all just a facade so the geeks and nerd wouldn't attempt to talk to her.
She wore one of her uniforms, only slightly altered.(She'd got the skirt made a little bit shorter.) and her blonde hair was perfectly curled from that morning. Her green gaze overlooked the library; not many student were there and even less teachers were.
It was really quiet; that was one thing Bethany did actually like about it. But somethimes the quiet places got a little boring when no one was there to talk to you. Bethany gave a light sigh as she ran a hand through her curls, wishing she had some one to talk too.

Levan didn't mind the library. He didn't mind the occasional session of silence, keeping to himself and not sparking conversation with a random stranger. He didn't go to the library often but he went often enough to be recognizable to the people in there all the time. Though it wasn't like he wasn't a memorable face? Over his years Levan had found that he was hard for people to forget. Not only did he talk tremendously but he had hair longer than most girls, to his knees, but he was albino. Albinism was uncommon no matter where you lived; unless you were a lab rat.
Today was just one of those days where he felt rather out of character. He felt a little lonely, having no one to talk to at the moment and thought some library time could do him some good. He was falling behind in a few classes, this would be a good time to study.
Before leaving he put his hair in a thick plait and stuffed a pair of sunglasses in his olive green messenger bag. He had a few text books and a note book in it. He was wearing his uniform today, his thick glasses black to match. As he stepped from his dorm into the hallway he squinted, eyes feeling irritated in the fluorescent lights. Why did schools have to have them?
He let out a soft breath as he walked into the library, passing by the recently returned books to see if there was one he cared to read. Nothing of interest so he went to sit down, pulling a hard cover novel form his bag as he walked. It was Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, one of his favorite stories.
What he loved most about this novel was all the hidden math. It was so hard to find a lot of them but when you knew they are there it was amazing. Almost every sentence had an equation of some sort. He loved reading the book over and over to try and find new ones.
He chose the nearest table, one with a blond girl who looked rather bored. He sat down absent midnedly, placing his bag by his feet, and smiled at her. "Hello," he smiled innocently, tucking one of those stray pieces of hair behind his pasty ears. He blinked a few times, getting used to the library's light; his roan eyes watching her curiously for an answer.

Bethany looked up when someone sat down, and she offered a smile when he spoke. "Hey." She said in a soft tone, being that they were in the library and she already had seen the librarian shoot her several glares.
Bethany looked at him with a curious gaze, she couldn't remember his name, but she knew he was a Junior, in th with the Gentlemen, and was one of the only albinos at school. She twirled one of her curls around her finger, a habit of whenever she was bored.
Her brow raised when she caught site of the book he was reading. "Alice in Wonderland, interesting choice." She said as she nodded, though she hated the book herlsef, she didn't really like the idea of such a crazy place, and Bethany was more into mystery books; she had one of her favorites sitting on the table next to her-'Sanctuary' written by Meg Cabot in the '1-800-WHERE ARE YOU' series.

Levan realized, as he inspected the girl sitting across from him, who she was. He had this tugging in the back of his mind that insisted he knew who she was. When she said a simple "hey" a bulb went off in his head telling him she was an Elite. Bethany was her name? He was fairly sure. "How are you?" he asked in a cheery tone, head tilting a bit when he spoke. He smiled a genuinely happy smile; a bit crooked too. His accent was light but still very noticeable as Russian, and soft since they were in a library after all.
"I'm Levan, Levan Gazielos, you're Bethany right?" he introduced himself, adding the last part so he didn't humiliate himself. Though he was pretty sure he'd do that anyways. He watched her fiddle with her hair while he himself fiddled with the ribbon that marked his place in the book.
He gave a little giggle and nodded. "Thank you," he told her. "This is my seventh time reading it," he admitted with no embarrassment. He looked down at her book, smiling when he read it. "Is that a good book?" he asked, gesturing his left hand toward it.

Bethany smiled as she scrunched her nose a little before replying how she was. "I'm ok, been better." She said with a nod, then tilted her head slightly to the side as he spoke.
"Yes, that's me. Bethany Carter." She said with a smile. "Nice to meet you Levan." She said, releasing the strand of her hair and then looking to her book with a some what secret smile; one that was brought to her face quite often.
"Seventh? Wow." She said with a smile then held up her book. "My fourth time re-reading the series." She said as she brought the book back down to her lap. "It's interesting, sparks of romance, thrilling chases, high school drama; itshould be on the preferred reading list."

Levan's head tilted to the side a bit. "Oh? Why just okay?" he asked, his tone curious and concerned. He sounded and seemed like he wouldn't mind if she didn't want to tell him. He would understand, it was her business and not his.
He leaned his forearms on the table, curling his fingers around each other. He gave a light boy of his head, his braid shifting from his back to his shoulder. The end of the thick plait was brushing the floor. "It's a pleasure to meet you Bethany," he told her, being honest. Levan liked meeting people.
He was starting to feel his loneliness fading now that he had a new person to talk to. He smiled and nodded. "And each time I find something new," he told her. He had thought about reading Annotated Alice, a book that took apart nearly every sentence of Alice in Wonderland but he liked rereading the book more.
"Oh? I'll have to take a look when I'm done this," he smiled. He was halfway done the novel, which also had "Through the Looking Glass and what Alice saw there" in it. Levan wasn't picky when it came to books he read, he liked most.

Bethany laughed softly at his questioning why she was just 'okay'. "Well lets see....I've been talked about in Gossip Girl's blog lately, and I don't really appreciate what she's got to say about me. My bestest best friend just started dating my best friend, which I couldn't be any happier for them, but I'm a little jealous because I'm still single." She rolled her eyes lightly and shook her head, still smiling.
Though Bethany might make small complaints about being single; she was never in a rush to have a boyfriend, or jump into a realationship. She was actually quite content with being single; though she'd never tell you that. "Thanks." She said with a smile.
"Isn't that interesting? No matter how many times you read a book you find something new, and it's still the same book. You just over looked it the first times you read it." Bethany stated with an amused smile, she had a fondness for books that only Talon knew about. She secretly wanted to be an author, but she didn't let other people know this because she thinks they'd lable her a geek.
"Yeah, they're some great books." She said, but then added. "But I prefer the 'Mediator' series over the '1-800 WHER ARE YOU' series. Both are written by Meg Cabot, I like the plot for the 'Mediator' series more."

Levan leaned forward a bit, resting the middle of his forearms on the edge of the table. He had been brought up to never place ones elbows on the table top and that habit stuck with him farther than just at dinner. One foot curled around the other, resting in a "V" shape under his chair as he watched her. "I can't say I read her blog but I can see how it could bother you. From what I've heard she is very hard on people," he commented, not entirely directed toward Bethany. "I wouldn't pay attention to what she said though. She is only one person and the only opinion about you that matters is your own," he told her with that innocent smile.
One of his slender and pasty hands curled around his glasses, pulling them off to clean them on his shirt. without the glasses he could just barely see the features of Bethany's face, they were that bad. His eyes seemed redder without the black rims though, not the roan kind of shade they usually were. He placed them back on, giving her that smile once again. "And it's only natural for you to feel jealous. It is a natural human emotion. It is human nature to feel that way when their best friends start dating one another," he assured her. He tucked some stray hair behind his ears before resting his forearms on the tables edge again.
"You are very welcome," he said, bowing his head to her. He paused as she spoke then nodded enthusiastically. "Those are the books that are worth reading," he thought out loud. "Even though you know the story there is a new adventure waiting every time you read," he added.
"What's the plot?" he asked, referring to the "Mediator" series she was talking about.

Bethany nodded, but gave a smile at knowing she wasn't mentioned in GG's lastest blog. "Yeah, I know. And usually I don't care what other people think, but what she says bugs the crap out of me because most of the times it's her mis-reading something." She said, then laughed. "Yeah, but I'm happy they're together. He's promising to stay faithful in this relationship, so I'm glad. He's been a little.....careless with some of his past relationships." And Bethany knew what she was talking about. She knew Talon better than anyone else.
She smiled as she nodded, finly someone who knew what she thought on books. "Exactly. It's funny because I'll read a book over and over again and my dad'll be like 'Haven't you finished that already?' and I'll just laugh. He doesn't get that I like to read a book oevr a few times ebcause I pick up things I missed the first time I read it." She stated then tapped her chin as she pondered ho to respond to his next question.
"Well, a teenage girl can see and talk to ghost, it's like her unofficial job to help them 'pass over'. She falls for a ghost, a guy with her same ability wants her but she doesn't like him. It's pretty much like high school...only a little more violent, but in a very interesting way." She replied then added with a smile. "In the end she's with the ghost, who's now alive again..... it's really intersting."

Levan didn't quite get who "he" was but he pretended to anyways. A friend perhaps? He didn't know. He found it hard to relate to this situation of hers though, since he had never dated before. He had never been asked out before and was too shy to do it himself. He didn't know what it felt like to have friends dating, since he had little of those. "Doll," he said, his biggest habit showing. "If it bothers you don't let her see that. She does that to see the reactions and giving her the satisfaction of ruining your life will keep her going. Try to ignore what she says. I doubt people believe it anyways," he advised. He hoped it would help.
Levan simply nodded, not finding anything he could add to whats he just said. He agreed with it. Sometimes his aunt would inquire about if he had read the book already or what number this one was but that was ever it. He didn't talk to her much.
He nodded as she spoke, the red eyes drifting to the ceiling. They danced over the fixtures, moving across to the tops of the shelves. Dusty...It didn't look like he was listening at all but when she finished he turned to face her, smiling that innocent and friendly grin. "It sounds rather interesting," he agreed. "I will definitely read them after this one," he promised, gesturing to Alice in Wonderland.
