Things were falling into place today. His grades were high, he was getting nothing but good responces on his writing and one of his articles was actually going to be put into this weeks newspaper, of course it had to do with the basketball program at the school but still it was one step closer to his second dream. Not to mention him and Faith had finally started dateing. She knew about his reputation but she didnt care, she was willing to take a chance on him and he was extremally happy for that.
He continued to dribble up and down the court. He could practice in the schools gym but he liked it better out here, fresh air, it was quite, not to mention noone was around to watch him or distract him, He had told faith where he would be in case she wanted to drop by and hang out if she wasnt busy later. But other than that noone really knew that this was his favorite spot to spend time, well except bethany and faith now and a couple other people, but other than that noone.
He had gotten an update on gossip girl earlier and had been a bit peeved at it, but he knew his status and knew what people thought and so did faith he was just hopeing that what gossip girl had said didnt make her worry and want to call things off before they got too attached. Oh well everything was good and nothing could really screw it up for him right now. He smiled as he watched as the ball went threw the net for a three pointer.

Taking a walk was the obvious thing to do that could help Lindsay clear her head about certain things that were going on in her life, mainly stuff she had read on gossip girl. Lindsay was having a hard time believing that her cheating ex boyfriend was actually in a committed relationship, what did this Faith character have that she didn't? A couple of minutes later Lindsay found her feet heading in the direction of the basketball courts, she knew that Talon always hung around their to work on his game, it would also be a good place to sit down and talk to him about what is being said; was it true or not?
Lindsay ran over the questions she would ask him a hundred times in her head, the more she thought about them the quicker she walked, eventually she heard the clicking of her heels hitting the paved court. When she saw Talon getting ready to shoot the ball in the net her heart stopped for just a second and everything she had thought about completely disappeared, what if he refused to talk to her? then what would she do? Lindsay took a deep breath and headed straight towards Talon "Hey" she said when she was just inches behind him |

He sighed, he had been in the zone, shooting and scoring, he was definatly on his game today.He hadnt even heard the clicking of the heels on the old pavement as he was shooting. He turned when he heard her voice. his eyes a shown a little bit of surpise as he looked over her. Memories flashed threw his mind as he looked at her. him asking her out, her accepting, all the times they made out, went out, and then when he cheated on her at a party after an away game. He had been mad at her because she wouldnt come to the game for some reason he forgot, so he had cheated.
He sighed and said " Hey, Linds" he turned and shot the ball and watched as it went in, he jogged up to retrieve it and said " what brings you here?" he hadnt talked to her since the day she found out from one of her friends that he had cheated on her and she had dumped him. And to be frank it was a little awkward for him, he had never spoken to an ex after a break up.

Lindsay watched as he shot the ball in the hoop, she knew not to bother him while he was in his zone because his mind was always off on a different planet. When he finally realized that she was their all he did was stare at her making her feel a little more then uncomfortable, she had missed him so much. "Can we talk?" Lindsay's heart pounded quickly as she spoke to him "Talon, I miss you" she knew that he was in a relationship but she had to get everything off her chest, Talon was a great guy before he had cheated on her. The relationship between them was more perfect then anything and she was going to do whatever it would take to get him back, Lindsay regretted breaking up with him from day one. [/size] |

he stopped bouncing the ball and turned his attention to her when she asked if they could talk. he put the ball under his arm and looked at her, wiping his forhead with the back of his hand as he was sweaty and gross. he listned to her words and lowered his eyes and sighed and said " linds, i dont know if you read the gossip girl column today, but its been pretty much leaked that faith and i are dateing now..." he looked up at her now unsure of what to say about this sort of situation

Lindsay walked towards him and took the ball from his grasp, brushing her hand over top of his as he spoke. "I did read the column, I just didn't believe it" She shot the ball into the net and smiled before chasing after it, when she was back in front of him her eyes met up with his "what does she have that I don't?". Lindsay could hear her heart start to slow down while her mind thought of things to tell Talon, she reached his ball out towards him and winked "how about we play a little one on one?" she raised her eyebrows and smirked "of strip basketball" [/size] |

he sighed and watched her take the ball from him and shoot it then chase after it. He sighed when she asked what faith had and said " i really like faith lindsay, we had our time, im sorry that i cheated on you, but you broke up with me remember" he moved a step back and took the ball and said " lindsay please ok, im not interested in playing strip basket ball anymore," he sighed and moved past her and took another shot trying to ignore her and what she said.

Lindsay took a deep breath and walked over to sit down on some shaded pavement, she put her hands over face and sighed "am I not good enough for you?" she knew that she would never be able to accept the fact that Talon was in a committed relationship and every time she thought about it, it became more real to her. "you used to tell me you loved me" Lindsay shook her head and looked directly at him "was that all just lies?" [/size] |

He sighed and looked at her, he ran a hand threw his black hair and said " lindsay, i thought i did love you, but i cheated on you cause i was mad, and i feel bad i hurt you linds and your very attractive believe me, but im with faith now" he sighed and looked at her tucking the basketball under his arm and sighed and said " im sorry, but the only reason that your coming to me saying this is probably because you cant have me cause faith has me. you broke up with me lindsay"

Lindsay stood up quickly and walked over to him "you have to be joking" she planted her pointer finger right on his chest and gridded her teeth "no way in hell did I come down here if I knew I couldn't have you Talon, get over yourself" Lindsay was furious with the fact that he knew exactly what she was up to, she looked down and felt her eyes start to fill with tears. How could she have been so foolish? she knew that Talon wasn't as dumb as the other guys she knew and obviously he truly did feel something for this Faith girl but how could she let him hurt her like that, he cheated on her and all she did was walk away. Revenge would taste sweet but how could she get it if he wasn't offering? Lindsay looked up at him while tears ran down her face "what does she have that I don't?" [/size] |

he sighed and looked at her and said " dont get mad at me lindsay, you are the one that came down here hopeing i would leave faith and go to you. i know i cheated on you linds but you broke up with me. im with faith now, and its not what she has that you dont its that i care for her now, i care for you but faith is who im with and who i want to be with now linds, im sorry. please dont feel like you have nothing."he sighed gently

Lindsay sighed and rolled her eyes as he spoke, the last time they argued like this was when she found out he cheated on her. Although she did have to admit that he was rather sexy when he was angry "Talon you don't even understand, do you even have any feelings for me at all?" not even tiny ones! Lindsay wrinkled her nose and gave him the puppy dog eyes "I'm still in love with you" she flashed him a cheeky grin then pulled him closely to her giving him a rough kiss [/size] |

He sighed and said " i will admit, though my heart belongs to faith now, there will always be some feelings for you lindsay, i wouldnt have dated you in the first place if i hadnt had feelings for you." his eyes widened when she pulled him to her and kissed him, he stood there for about 2 seconds before he realized what she was doing. he pulled away from her and said " lindsay please, i made a promise to not hurt faith and im not about to start off hurting her and being deceitful to her in the first few days of our relationship. I'm not cheating on anymore girlfriends lindsay" he sighed and said " im sorry that you still love me, but you should move on"

he shook his head and looked away from her as she ran a hand down his chest. taking a step back he sighed and said "Not that we have yet, and im not pushing her at all, im sure the sex with faith will be great." He gave her a stare cause he was sure that someone would have seen them and started spreading rumors here.But she was right about one thing, before faith and after she broke up with him for cheating he had remembered at times how great the sex was with lindsay, but he had faith now and would never cheat on her.She had been a friend before girlfriend, and he had made a promise.
