Jake stood in line gathering his food on his lunch tray.He liked lunch because he got to socialize with his friends.But not all of his friends had the same lunch as him.He was in lunch 1.Once he payed for his food he took his place at a table in the middle of the lunch room.he didn't mind sitting by himself, he loved the attention.

Kenzie had her food and was looking around. She saw that there was only one table that had room for more peolpe. She walked over . "Is this spot taken?" She asked nicely. She still wasn't sure who was who and who she should stay away from and things like that, so she was trying to be careful.

Jake looked up at he finished swallowing a bit of his sub.He motioned for her to sit."Sure.Go ahead." Jake never minded people wanting to sit with him.And he expecially didn't mind when a girl wanted to sit down near him.He smiled at her and rubbed the back of his hair with his free hand.Jake thought she looked familiar and it was probably because she was in the same class as him."Jake Sanders." He said as he took another bite of his food.

"Thank you." Kenzie said sweetly. She opened her water and took a swig. "Mackenzie Cohen." She said after sallowing her water. She unwraped her chicken salad sandwich and took a bit.

Jake noticed she looked a little uncomfortable which was a repealant fr Jake.He scooted over a little away from her."Are you okay? You look uncomfortable." Jake said as he naturally drank his mt.dew.He looked at her with questioning eyes and waited for her response.

Jake frowned a little."Why?You shouldn't be scared of anyone.Just becomfortable and you'll make friends." He said as he started eating his chips.Jake looked at her with repealing eyes but he didn't let that feeling show.He hoped she would relax a little bit.

Kenzie sighed a little. "You're right. I shouldn't be scared. Wow, I didn't know growing up in New York would make me scared of being comfortable around people I don't know." She laughed a little.

"Well everyone grows up at different times." He said a little sarcastic.He also added in his mysterious/jerky side but not alot of it.He was still a little offput about her whole self concious thing but he guessed he was helping her get over it.?Jake looked around asnd sighed.He hated lunch1 noone was in it.he turned his atteniton back to Mackenzie after a while.

Kenzie finished her sandwich and water and looked up at Jake. "Thank you, Jake." She smiled. "I'll leave you in peace now. After all, it's all I can do after barging in like I did. I'm sorry about that." She smiled and got up.

"Oh no problem.Im done also." He said as he stood up and walked ot the trash can with her to dump their food.He smiled at her and that was aboutt he second time he smiled at her.Turns out she wasn't all that bad.He stacked his tray on the others and stepped aside so she could do the same.

"It's just people who question themselves or are self concious of themselves is just a big turn off to me.And it tends to upset me sometimes because noone should doubt themselves." Jake said as he told her what was on his mind.He wasn't scared of the responses.That was just how he is and he was who he was.
