OutfitLying in the sand, with a pile of folded clothes next to her; is Ms. Bethany Carter. Her green eyes were closed shut, her blonde hair spread about her head, and her body smelling of tanning oil; she was working on her tan. The sound of the waves lightly crashing on the beach was always an enjoyable sound to people; but deep down if slightly frightened Bethany. She was stationed a good distance from the water, but her eyes still fluttered open when a larger wash hit the beach; not even anywhere near her.
"Dad taught me everything about photography; why couldn't he teach me how to swim?" She mumbled to herself as she closed her eyes again after checking the time on her cell phone

After awhile of deciding what to do, Michelle found herself on the beach, with her hair tied up and smiling. The beach was a nice place for her: she liked the sound of the waves and the constant chatter of people around her. It made everything seem nice to her and sometimes, the noise did become too much, but that was okay to her.
Strolling along, not really thinking, she looked up as she heard a girl say something about not teaching her to swim. After trying to figure out who had said that, she realized that it was someone who she had seen at school before. Sure, they never really had a real conversation, but maybe today was the day to meet some new people, right? Shaking her head gently, she walked toward the girl and dropped down on to the sand, noticing that the girl had her eyes closed, so she probably didn't see Michelle.
With a clear of her throat, Michelle said, "Hey!" And then she realized how weird it was of her to just be there saying hi. Deciding that it was probably nothing, she shrugged and waited to see if she would respond.

At hearing someone clear their throat Bethany's eyes fluttered open again. She looked over and saw Michelle, giving her a friendly smile as she sat up. "Hey." She relied back as she brushed her hair from her face."Do you go to St. Mary Academy?" Bethany asked, noticing that the girl looked pretty familiar.

When the girl's eyes opened and she sat up, Michelle decided that maybe it wasn't all that awkward after all. Shaking her head, she nodded her head after Bethany asked if she went to St. Mary Academy. "Yeah, I do. You're Bethany, right?" She asked, finally remembering that Bethany was one of the more popular girls in school and Michelle had definitely seen her around before. Shaking her head once more, she looked out at the waves and waited.

Bethany nodded. "Yeah, that's me." She replied, her smile still there as she searched her brain for the girl's name. "It's Michelle, right?" She asked as she reached over and picked up her sunglasses, putting them over her eyes with a smile. "Sorry, the sun's kinda bright."

Michelle nodded her head at Bethany. "The one and only Michelle," She replied with a smile. Although Bethany was popular, she also seemed down-to-earth and nice, not mean or snobby like how some people could be. Shaking her head, she looked at Bethany when she spoke. "Yeah, it is bright, but it's still a nice day," She said with a brief nod.
After a few moments of awkward silence, Michelle cleared her throat once more. "So, I heard you say something about swimming earlier, can you swim?" She asked curiously, trying to make some more conversation.

Bethany smiled and nodded, but at the question she bit her lip the slightest bit. She didn't want to lie, but she didn't want peple knowing that she couldn't swim....not even Staci knew she couldn't. "I'm not big on swimming, I like tanning more." It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't a complete answerto her question.

Michelle nodded, but she, herself, actually preferred swimming more than tanning. Shaking her head, she smiled at Bethany and nodded once more. "Yeah? I actually like swimming a lot," She said with a quick shrug of her shoulder. "So, I guess it can be a bit boring sometimes, huh? I'm feeling it," She said, knowing that that had come out as completely random.

Bethany nodded with a smile. "Yeah, I prefer dancing over swimming." She replied as she ran a hand through her hair, slightly laughing as she fluffed some sand out of it.

Michelle simply nodded her head. Dancing wasn't something that she was good at. She couldn't dance at all and was way to clumsy to excel in it. Shaking her head, she laughed. "Oh, you should see me dance, absolutely horrible," She said with another quick laugh.

Bethany gave an encouraging smile; she didn't like to laugh at people for things they couldn't do. "Ah, come on. I'm sure you'd do just fine in dancing." She said as she looked at Michelle, her brow cocked slightly.

"Nah, I really don't think so. Actually...I think I know so,"Michelle replied with another shake of her head. Maybe she should have just nodded and smiled, but she felt the need to confirm the fact that she absolutely could not dance.
*ooc:eh..it's horrible.*

Bethany laughed. "Come on, seriously?" Don't ask her why, but Bethany just had it set in her mind that everybody could dance; one way or another. She loved dancing, and it always confused her when she figured out someone couldn't or didn't like to dance. "What do you like to do then?" She asked with a raised brow. The question came out a lot ruder then Bethany had meant it and she noticed. "Sorry, I didn't mean for it to some out like that."

Michelle nodded her head. "Yes, seriously!" She said, shaking her head as she laughed. She had no point in lying; it was true that she couldn't dance at all. When Bethany asked her what she liked to do then, she had to admit, it sounded a little rude, but it didn't really affect her. Thus, she shook her head as Bethany apologized. "No, it's fine. I guess I like to swim and maybe even read. Boring, yes, I know," She said with a quick nod before she looked around aimlessly.

"Reading's not boring!" Bethany couldn't stop herself from blurting that out, she bit ehr bottom lip them and looked towards the water. "I like dancing and sports, along with photography and shopping." She said with a laugh; it was a known fact that pretty much every Elite girl loved shopping! She looked at her goldish skin and smiled as she added. "Tannings a given, obviously." She said with a smile as she shook her head, pushing some blonde hair from her face.
